LIBERTY LONDON LAUNCHES POP UP WITH PLASTIC OCEANS X FYODOR GOLAN: 1-28 February 2019

Liberty London is excited to announce the launch of an exclusive pop-up with British fashion brand Fyodor Golan, who have teamed up with Plastic Oceans U.K to raise awareness around one of the largest dangers to marine life: plastic pollution. Their runway backdrop set is made from abandoned fishing nets and emulates coral covered driftwood, highlighting the damaging impact plastic waste has on our oceans.

The ‘Lost & Found’ collection has been designed for both genders and features washed out hues in recycled denims and cottons. Taking inspiration from the ocean, sporty silhouettes are embellished with castaway elements; from seashells to pearls and plastic waste. To add iconic nostalgia, the duo collaborated with SEGA’s ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’, focusing on early pixelated imagery that showcased raw silks in bold fuchsia, and cyan blue tones.

Alexandra Gordon, Womenswear Buyer says:

‘Not only is the collection brilliant, but they’ve brought awareness to plastic pollution in the world’s oceans this season by teaming up with Plastic Oceans UK. The duo have also eliminated plastic from their production process and have started to use recycled material in their collections.’

The Fyodor Golan pop up will launch exclusively at Liberty London from 1-28 February 2019.
